What’s in it for you?

Social Connections

The perfect opportunity to relinquish your connection to the outside world – put down your phone and consciously connect with other individuals without distraction. Alternatively take this time to turn inwards and slowdown in momentary freedom from the fast pace of life.

Rest & Recovery

Sauna bathing is known to aid muscle recovery so it is a fantastic way to compliment any exercise and decrease possible muscle soreness. Research shows that sauna also brings relief to some pain syndromes. Equally this hot environment encourages deep relaxation which is beneficial for genuine rest and improved sleep quality.

Improved Immunity

A combination of hot-cold therapy is shown to help stimulate the immune system therefore it’s likely to reduce susceptibility to common colds and infections. As your body works to regulate its temperature toxins are eliminated through perspiration.

Mood & Mental Health

The positive impact that sauna bathing has on our mental health is very well documented. An immediate release of endorphins and serotonin (the happy hormones) makes you feel good in the short term, followed by the prolonged effect of many physiological benefits in the hours, days and weeks to follow when ‘sauna-ing’ regularly!

Heart Health

Some studies show that regular sauna use correlates directly with reduced blood pressure and a subsequent lowered stroke risk. It’s also shown to improve all-round cardiovascular health. When the body is exposed to high temperatures blood circulation is increased. Heart health is vital to our general wellbeing.

Simulates Exercise

Many of the physiological responses that we experience from exercise are simulated during sauna sessions. These include - raised heart rate, perspiration (sweating), increased blood flow and an endorphin release. That said – some essential benefits of muscular and skeletal strength developed by exercising should not be avoided.
