Steamy Queries!

  • We are located directly in front of the Bracklesham Bay pay and display car park – MI PERMIT 711022 - so this is the easiest place to park and it’s only a stone’s throw from the sauna itself.

  • Fortunately, there are public toilets in the car park just 50metres from the sauna. There is also a local restaurant Billy’s on the Beach and a coffee shop a couple of minutes walk up the road – Goat Coffee. There is also a co-op supermarket just a 5 minute walk away which you will drive past on arrival.

  • The essentials include yourself, your water bottle, preferably two towels – one to sit on and one to dry yourself, and your swimwear. A dry robe or big jacket and warm clothing is also considered sensible!

How to Sauna - Our Fundamentals

Think practical footwear for a stoney beach – crocs, jelly shoes, flip flops and sandals – it’s no fashion show!

Please leave footwear outside the sauna where possible.

Bring and sit on your own towel.

Drink PLENTY of water – but avoid metal bottles inside the sauna.

Preparation

Please be mindful of the peace – use your indoor voices!

Consult other users before sloshing water on the stones – little and often is the key!

Share the ‘hot seats’.

Most importantly enjoy the experience, time out and views across the water!

Experience

Please rinse off before entering the sauna!

Try not to rush between hot and cold – it can make you a bit dizzy!

Leave your ego at the door, it’s not a game of beat the heat – 10-15 minute intervals can be enough - but listen to your body.

Allow time for changing at the end of your session.
